Central Auditory Processing Disorder?

My 8 year old was diagnosed with a mild case of it this year. They gave me ideas on what I can do to teach her in a more effective way. She loses focus sometimes and gets distracted easily in cl. The teacher, principal, special ed teacher and I are working closely together to make sure she doesn't fall behind. She needs special help with math at this time. I find I have to use a lot of repetition with her and I have to be careful not to burn her out too. Spelling tests are easy for her but when she writes a story her spelling is bad. Also, we're working on reading comprehension. She has made great progress since her diagnosis. Once you learn your child's learning style she will make great progress as well. I'm so glad we found out because she didn't like school and was having a lot of stress. So hang in there and good luck.
