Is it possible for someone to permanently change their past severe racist views?

My White Portuguese aunt(from Lisbon,Portugal) has always abhored Black people,To make matters even worse for her,her daughter fell in love and got involved with an African American man,and as a result became preagnant.My aunt kicked her out of the house and told her that she will not accept the Mulatto baby,nor will she financially support a daughter who's existance has been to "pollute" their White family.It has now been 4 years that have ped by and my aunt has not changed her ways and she has never seen her grandson!My cousin brought her son to visit Grandma,but my aunt pushed him away,but she favors her other White grandchildren and gives them alot of love and gifts.We all thought that time would erase hard feelings,but that seems not to be the case with my aunt.
