What was the TET offensive?
Tet was a mive attack by the North Vietnamese in South Vietnam with troops that had infiltrated south over the border in Cambodia on the Ho Chi Minh trail as well as across the border. a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ho_Chi_Minh_trail" rel="nofollow"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ho_Chi_Minh…/a By most definitions of military action, North Vietnam won, except that they could not or did not follow up on the damage that they did which makes it a defeat although the damage it did to American morale in staying in the war counts as a victim. a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tet_Offensive" rel="nofollow"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tet_Offensi…/a It is named after the day it started Tet being the Vietnamese New Year when many troops and police were given time with their families.
