What shld I dwld if I wanna create/put together a mash up of songs?

hie! what free programme can i dwld (and where can i dwld it fr) to cut songs up and then mix them? to make a (i think its called) medley? mash up? mix? other than windows live movie maker... im not super pro but i learn fast so smthing good but not too complicated. thank you!
