Should we all be grateful for people like Guy Fawkes?

I think so, how he endured torture for days and never gave up the names of his accomplices. He wanted change for his people. Even though I suppose he would be considered a modern day terrorist he really seemed to me like an honest, honourable man with good intentions? Today would he be considered the same as maybe those who would die for their faith - martyr maybe - even saint?
