LOST QUESTION: why did Ben told Jack and the others to bring Locke back to the island?

is he an accomplice of Jacob's enemy??? they bring Locke back to the island, he is resurrected, then by the end of the season it is revealed that he is dead???? and the NEW LOCKE is jacob's enemy??? what's the sense of bringing the dead JOHN LOCKE???
